Our story
Once upon a time...

Traveling Fiction Library
Traveling Fiction Library was established in November of 2025 to provide access to literature in our North Las Vegas community. 2025 has compounded many challenges our neighborhood faces. Challenges such as food insecurity, literacy rates, etc. Federal funding lapses in many of the programs that serve our neighbors (such as Dolly Parton's Imagination Library) have made books that much harder to access. We believe reading is for everyone and to that end, we are trying to meet the needs of our community in our own small way.

Cord
While rainy days are infrequent in the desert, sometimes it is too hot for outdoor activities. Why not curl up indoors with a nice book? A book a day will keep the monsters at bay.
Cord's favorite genres include fantasy, adventure, sci fi, and horror. He enjoys authors such as Stephen King, J. R. R. Tolkien, Ted Chiang, and Kazuo Ishiguro. Cord enjoys reading physical books but due to time constraints, enjoys the Libby app (through the Clark County Library system) for audiobooks.

Amber
Reading has been one of Amber's favorite activities since she was a child. Reading represents both escape from the ordinary and a pathway to community connection. Amber believes reading can allow us to learn so much about the world.
Amber enjoys romance, fantasy, and sci fi books. Amber's favorite authors include Stephen King, Rebecca Yarros, and George R. R. Martin. Amber is currently obsessed with the Fourth Wing series.
